Nick Mohammed is half Indo-Caribbean and half Greek-Cypriot. This makes him look Muslim, which – despite his surname – he is not. Moreover, he was baptised Greek-Orthodox and confirmed C of E. Nick however, is very unorthodox: he is an atheist – thank God. Despite these events, Nick is ultimately a character comic, and takes pleasure in not basing his set on any of the above. It’s hardly worth mentioning.
And so instead…
Nick Mohammed is an inventive and exceptional character comedian, writer and magician. He has just finished shooting Jeremy Dyson’s (League of Gentlemen) new comedy-drama, Billy Goat, for Hat Trick/BBC One, and BBC Three pilot, Splitting Cells – for Brown Eyed Boy – with whom he also filmed a series of shorts for Paramount Comedy as character Daniel Thornthwaite. Earlier this year Nick appeared in BBC Three’s Comedy Shuffle and he is currently developing an original sitcom script: The Water Diaries.
4uarters, a four-piece-one-man character sketch show written and performed by Nick, heralds his return to the Festival and builds upon the success of his highly original 2006 show The Forer Factor.
